Seesaw

The seesaw is simple, but it teaches children something important: cooperation. It only works when there are two of you—and when you find the rhythm together.

A seesaw develops balance, timing, and body awareness. The child must alternate between pushing off and yielding, and it must be done in sync with the person seated at the other end. This makes the seesaw one of the few pieces of play equipment where cooperation is built into the play itself.

We offer seesaws in various designs—classic two-person balance seesaws and spring seesaws that even the youngest children can use. The seesaws are installed on impact-absorbing surfacing in rubber or sand, so they meet current safety requirements, and they can stand alone or form part of a cohesive play area for the youngest children.
